Instructions: Respond to each of the following questions with a complete sentence. You may receive if
a 100 if your answers show effort and quality. Please answer each prompt with at least one complete
paragraph.

Part 1: Explain your experience with job-hunting this summer for Work Based Learning. Explain the
struggles and successes you faced and how you believe they contributed to your current situation. If you
already had a job, explain why you stayed at this job for your WBL experience and how you plan to grow
at your current job over the course of the semester.
My mom works at my current job, and I grew up in the school environment, so my job
application process was not hard considering I knew all the people running the program.

Part 2: What are your expectations for Work Based Learning this semester? What do you hope to
achieve from your placement? How do you believe your time in the WBL program will help you to grow
professionally?
I hope to be able to learn work about the work world and about what I need to do when I plan
to get a better job and how to act during job interviews and how I need to act in the work environment.
I hope to get a more professional view of thew work world, how to act, what to wear, and how to better
be professional.

Part 3: List three soft skills you would like to improve this semester? How do you plan to implement
these skills at your place of work?

 Better communication- Learning how to better communicate with people of all ages and help
them.
 Becoming a better listener- learning how to listen the kids and how to better help them when
they aren’t making complete sense
 Learning how to better deliver bad news- when a child is acting up and their parent has to be
notified and how to give them the news in the nicest way possible so that they don’t complain
about me to the bosses.
