Abstract
Crime is a threat that is often worried
by almost everyone. Various kinds of
technology were created to provide a
sense of security for its users.
However, some criminal practices still
occur even though technology has
been created to prevent them. Among
the various crimes, sexual harassment
was the case that was reported most
frequently. Sexual harassment is a
common case these days. Sexual
harassment practices occur because
they cannot protect themselves from
crimes that threaten themselves.
In addition, the background for the
researcher to conduct this research was
due to the existence of cases of sexual
harassment that almost happened to
junior high school students in the
environment where the researcher was
located in Doko Village, Ngasem
District, Kediri Regency. Therefore,
prevention is needed so that this case
does not continue to increase. To solve
this problem, researchers created
FEBS technology (Faraday Electro
Belt System) which is expected to
function optimally to reduce cases of
sexual harassment.
The aim of this research is to create a
simple, effective, and effective tool
from an electronic safety circuit that
can provide protection for its users to
reduce sexual harassment and increase
the sense of security and peace in the
community.
The conclusion of this research is that
the technology used for self-defense
against sexual harassment does not
have to be a complex and expensive
system. FEBS (Faraday Electro Belt
System) as an effective, simple, and
effective means of self-defense against
sexual harassment practices. FEBS
(Faraday Electro Belt System) as a
means of self-defense from sexual
harassment practices can be used as a
daily belt without arousing suspicion
from those around you.

Introduction

frequently.
Sexual harassment is a common case
these days. Based on data from the
Central Bureau of Statistics, which is
sourced from the National Police
Headquarters, the number of cases of
rape and sexual abuse in Indonesia in
2013-2017 has fluctuated. In 2015,
there were 5,051 cases of sexual
harassment and rape, then increased in
2016 to 5,247 cases. Then the number
of these crimes increased again in
2017 to 5,513.
Sexual harassment is often
experienced by women, especially
adolescents and minors. Sexual
harassment practices occur because
they cannot protect themselves from
crimes that threaten themselves.
In addition, the background for the
researcher to conduct this research was
due to the existence of cases of sexual
harassment that almost happened to
junior high school students in the
environment where the researcher was

Material and Methods
FEBS Module Preparation
Make a module box for inverters and
batteries made of 1 ¼ inch pvc paralon
pipe, heat it until the pipe becomes soft
so that it is easy to shape according to
your needs. Using a rechargeable
battery with a voltage of 4 V which
will be used to source the current to
the inverter. Installing the inverter next
to the battery which is useful for
converting DC to AC currents. Using a
switch to connect and cut the current
from the battery to the inverter. Input
socket for charging to the battery.
After that, the output cable from the
inverter goes to the input socket on the
FEBS Belt. Coat the module with resin
to make it waterproof.
FEBS Belt Preparation
Attaches the input socket to the base of
the belt. Prepare 2 copper wires 1.25 m
long each. Connect copper wire to the
input socket. Wrapping on the belt
each coil is given a distance of 1 cm so
that no short circuit occurs. Sand the
front wire so that the copper wire is
not insulated by the insulator, which
could shock the person touching the
belt.
FEBS Charger Preparation
Install resistors, capacitors, kiprok,
LED lights on the board or cash
module. Connect the output jack cable
to the inverter using a soldering iron.
The charger is coated with resin to
make it waterproof. The charger is
ready
to use to charge the FEBS Module.
Result and Finding
In this study, researchers calculated
how much current and voltage were
lost per time when FEBS was used.
Based on the research results, after
charging for 2 hours the FEBS voltage
decreased after 30 minutes of use.
Even so, the current remains stable at
around 400 mA. FEBS can still be
used within the range of 2 hours
continuously.
