Those who love Jehovah have something

special. They have hope…Do you know
what hope is? It’s described as looking
forward to something in the future with
confidence, or trust. We have things that we
can be happy about now, and we have trust
in Jehovah that one day soon the paradise
will be here and give us an even better
future. What do you look forward to? Who
do you want to meet? What do you think it
will be like when the entire world around us
is kinder, cleaner, and growing to be
perfect? Let’s talk about that in this special
edition of our second newsletter! You will
see artwork from students throughout the
newsletter this month. And to all the

Interview: John the Baptizer

1. What was it like seeing the heavens
open when you baptized Jesus, and
did a form like a dove really appear
or was it invisible? Yes, I did see a
dove-like creature go to Jesus. And
when the heavens opened up I saw
all the angels, but I didn’t see
Jehovah. I was very awe-struck!

2. What was it like eating locusts?

They were very crunchy and had a
char flavor. I often made them
sweet by covering them with honey.

3.What were you feeling when you

heard the king wanted your head? I felt at
first fear, then Jehovah gave me courage
and hope!

Family Worship Ideas…
Idea#1: Faith – create a shield of faith
(see picture above!). Additional: Learn
song #81 as a family. Memorize a
scripture about faith.
Idea #2: make cardboard cutouts of the
10 commandments. Read story #23 & 24
in Lessons You Can Learn from the
Bible. Save the tablets! Next family
worship dress up like Moses and the
Israelites, act it out (easy no-sew costume
ideas on Pinterest.)

week pick one “Become Jehovah’s
Friend” activity to do, and the
corresponding song or video listed below
the activity to watch as a family. (This is 2
years of family worship alone!) For older
elementary don’t forget about the “Family
Worship Projects” section – they have
collections that include maps, videos, and
Bible Character Cards all together.

Paint rocks with a scripture (use paint
pens found at local craft stores.) Put in
your garden, give to friends as a gift, or
place in public to share (don’t put rocks
in State or National Parks, or inside
businesses).

encouragement or even join zoom to support.

#5 Family Worship Scategories – Create
Categories. Examples: Names of Kings,
Prophets, Animals,.. Then write the
alphabet on index cards (or use a
Scategories dice) and get a timer. Pick a
category, pick a letter, and everyone makes
a list in the time limit. 1 point for names
no one else has, 3 points using the letter
twice in one name (example: For the letter
P – Pontias Pilot). Play to points of your
choice. This game can be played “family
feud style” on zoom with others.
#7 For minimal to no cost, create your Thursday November 4th, 2021: Talon
own “deck” of Heads Up game using the Fire-Smith Bible Reading Jos. 18:1-14
app (use My Book of Bible Stories for
word inspiration for little ones, Insight
Volumes for teens and adults). You can
also print the Bible Character Cards from
JW.ORG and use them with the physical
game of Heads Up. With a little
coordination, this game can be played on
zoom with others.
