Foreshadowing – Elements to Bring In Ahead of Time

 Nature of Worm that Walks/insect swarms, where if even one individual is left behind then the
whole survives. The Adze monster swarm (20 individuals) is their first experience with this. They
need to be ready with the internal logic of the creature once they actually meet the King of
Biting Ants and learn about what happened with a swarm of soldier ants devouring the body of
the manifestation of Dahak and gaining primitive sentience. They will be introduced to Dahak in
the process of the Cult of Cinders story arc.
 I need to decide if the Hungry School is separate from or synonymous to this swarm form of
Dahak. Regardless, “Kindled Magic” already makes it clear that insects are spontaneously
chewing arcane sigils in things, so the Hungry School may also have happened as a natural
consequence of dark magic pouring out of the site of Dahak’s death.
 Flyers around campus might advertise recruiting events for Hermea, with mentions of there
being qualifying tests in order to travel there for essentially a semester abroad. The contact
there is _______, the elf that was headhunted for his knowledge of the Anima Invocation ritual.
 Appearance of time/fate beings, like the Irii fate/fortune time elementals. This should relate
back to Sam’s discovery of themselves as a fragment of a long ago bythos aeon. The Irii may
actually not be able to distinguish between the PC and a full aeon, as their perception is
muddied by seeing all of time at once, and the character was the bythos for so long.
