This document describes the process to create and register a Caldera account. In case of trouble, you can also find Tips &
Tricks to login to your Caldera account.
According to your Caldera profile (reseller or end user) menus may be different.

Register an account
The registration procedure can be done from any workstation with an internet access. During the registration step, you
will have to enter the details of your account: company name, address, e-mail, etc.
1. Go to https://workspace.caldera.com.
2. Select your language by clicking the desired one at the top-right corner (English and French are available).

3. Click Sign up.

4. At any time, if you need help to fill in the registration form click Do you need some help? at the top of the win-
dow.
5. Fill in all fields. A red asterisk is used when filling the field is required.
You will not be able to end the registration if mandatory fields are not completed.
l Email: email used for validation of your account and login. Do not use a generic name as supporteam@xxx.com
or sales@xxxx.com.
If you already have an account, a message will warn you and if you follow the link embedded you will be able to recover you password.

l Password: password must have at least 8 characters.


l Retype password: retype the same password as before to avoid errors.
l Complexity: this field indicates the complexity of your password. It helps you to have a strong password.
l First name: type the first name of the user. Do not use a generic name as Support or Sales.

l Name: type the name of the user. Do not use a generic name as Support or Sales.
l Company: if your company is already registered, the associated address is displayed and you can select it.
l Start typing a locality (address, city or country): enter your company's address.
l Address: type the address of your company.
l Zip: enter the ZIP code of your company.
l Country: select your country using the drop-down menu.

5. Click Terms and conditions to read terms and condition in a pop-up. Check the box to accept terms and conditions.

6. Then, enable the option Subscribe to the Caldera Newsletter if you want to receive our Newsletters.

7. reCaptcha: check the box to determine that you are a human being and not a device. This system has been imple-
mented for security reason.

8. Finally, click the Sign up button. Indeed, an email is sent to your email address to activate your account.

Activate your account


1. Once you have successfully registered your account, an email is automatically sent in your mail box. Click the first
link inside the email. Your browser opens a new window.

2. A new page will open appears in your browser and with the following message "Your account is activated, you can
now login".

3. Use the email address and the password defined during the registration procedure and click Sign In.
4. A page will appear with 2 options: Declare yourself as a reseller company and/or Register my Caldera license.

Declare yourself as a reseller company


1. Click the Yes button.

2. Click Continue.
3. A new page will appear with the following message "Declaration sent successfully for review !".

Register your Caldera license


1. Click Yes to be able to register your Caldera license.
You will also be able to register it later.

2. Fill out the Access number field. Please read the Find the Access number section for information.

3. Fill out the Dongle number or the HostID. Read the Find the Dongle number section to learn where to find it.

4. Finally, click Continue.

5. A new page will appear with the following message License registered.

Find the Access number


The Access number stands on Caldera RIP’s package box and on the dongle connection document which is inside the
box. It is a four or six-digit number.

Find the Dongle number


The Dongle number stands on the dongle itself. It is a four or five-digit number.

Troubleshooting
Account blocked
After 10 attempts with a wrong password your account is blocked. You will be noticed with an email.
1. Follow the link in the email or go to https://workspace.caldera.com.

2. Click Locked account? to unlocked it.

3. Enter your email address and click Send.

4. An email will be sent with an unique link allowing you to unlock your account.

5. In the page that appears a green banner confirms that your account is unlocked.

Password lost
1. If you have lost your password, go to https://workspace.caldera.com.
2. Click Pass lost? to recover it.

3. Enter your email address and click Send me instructions.

4. An email will be sent to it, with an unique link allowing you to reset your password. Click the link to open the
page in a browser.

5. In the page that appears, enter twice a new password.

6. Click Save to register your new password.

7. A green banner confirms that your password is changed. Log in as usual with the password you have just set.

Resend validation email


If you already register your account but did not activate it, you can ask for a new email to validate your account.
1. Go to https://workspace.caldera.com.
2. Click Resend register validation email.

3. Enter your email address and click Resend.

4. An email will be sent to it, with an unique link allowing you to activate your account.

5. Then follow the Activate your account process.

Email already used


On the registration page, if you enter an email already used, a message appears and you will not be able to end the regis-
tration.
1. Click This is my address and I wish to use it.

2. A banner appears and an email is sent to your mailbox.

3. Click Apply if you want to recover your Caldera account.

Merge accounts
If you need to merge accounts or companies, please contact Caldera's Support Team.

Register a license of an activated account


If you already register your account but did not activate it, you can ask for a new email to validate your account.

1. Go to https://workspace.caldera.com and sign in.


2. Then, select Downloads in the left menu.
3. Click Licenses to register a new license.

4. Then, follow the instructions of the Register your Caldera license section.
