I have always been interested in the Health Information Department (HIM) so, I

have decided to pursue a career in that field. I believe that department is what

makes the companies run smoothly. I want to attend Texas Southern University and

enroll in the Bachelor Degree of Science in Health Information Management. It's a

4 year program and it would help me further my career in the Health Information

Department. The mission of the program is to provide graduates with the technical

and administrative skills to manage health information systems consistent with

professional standards (medical, administrative, ethical, and legal) in health care

delivery systems. Graduates also possess the knowledge and skills needed to plan

and develop health information systems which meet standards of accrediting and

regulating agencies. I feel that not only will it enhance my clerical skills but it will

improve my ethical skills as well. I look forward to a bigger and brighter future.
