Mathematics as the “demonstrative subject” starts at the sixth century BC
when the Pythagoreans who made the term mathematics from the old Greek word mathema meaning “subject of instruction’’. Greek mathematics greatly refined these methods particularly through the beginning of deductive reasoning and numerical rigor in proofs and extended the content of mathematics. Although they made almost contributions to academic sciences, the Romans used mathematics in measurement, functional engineering, mechanical engineering, accounting, innovation of satellite and solar calendars and even arts. Islamic mathematics, in exchange, evolved and expanded mathematics known to this modern world.
