How have these events shaped your perception about your 

surroundings and the

world in which you live?

I believe my perception changes throughout time. Change is going to happen no matter

what, often there are consequences. I feel the importance of being involved in politically, I know

what the importance of being involved, it’s good to know what’s going on. Not just in the U.S.

but globally. It’s my duty to stay attentive in American politics. All these historical events will

impact us in different ways. We might agree or disagree with some. It is important to stay up to

date because this will help you as a person and you might be affected in the future. There are

events that have led me to believe that history can repeat itself. Studying history allows me to

absorb and understand how people and society behave. For example, in the events I have chosen

there is going to be conflict at every corner. I have noticed that throughout time U.S. presidents

have struggled with the idea of war, we don’t want it and we simply can’t leave it in the dark. So,

our only option is to deal with it and hope for the best outcome. If we think about it history is in

the past, it’s in the future but it’s also in the present. Every day we make history, it may affect us

or help us, we won’t know until we become history.
