Step by Step Guide to

Search Library Resources on OPAC


Step 1- Step 3-
Log onto the Library webpage - Type the keyword which you want to

A list of books will appear, where you can check the availability of books and you
can narrow down your search by using option which is given on the left side. For
example: Subscribed E-books.

To narrow down your search click on e-books. For example: Subscribed E-books. Only
Subscribed E-books will appear for reference. When users are in JGU network, they can
access by click on the given link or download the PDF. If users are searching e-books off-
campus please refer the user guide on Remote Access. (Browse “Subscribed E-books”).

Step 6-
Users can search the library items by using different option like: Title, Author, Subject or
ISBN. For example: Author – Avtar Singh. Here is the list of books which are written by
Avtar Singh and users also can select the co-author.

Advanced search gives you the precise results. You can narrow down your search
using Parentheses, e.g. “Company law” by Avtar Singh
You can enclose search terms and their operators in parentheses to specify the order in
which they are interpreted.
