We will be beginning the film Lord of the Flies (1990) soon in conjunction with
our reading of the novel Lord of the Flies. The film depicts a group of boys who
attempt to reestablish society after crash landing on an island.

As this film is rated-R for violence as well as several uses of profanity, parental
approval is required for your child to view it in class. If you choose not to allow
your child to watch this film, they will go to the library and will have
supplemental reading on the same incidents as an alternative assignment. If
you wish to preview the film, it is available for purchase on Amazon, iTunes, and
Youtube.
