Basic Guidelines for Taking the

Geometry Assessment
Work through the test at your own pace. There is no time limit.
A good guideline would be to set aside an hour, though the test may take more or less time.

You may log in and out at any time for a break by clicking the “stop” button. You can return and
log back in to resume the assessment where you left off at a later time. Once you have logged
into the assessment, you will have 14 days to return to the site to complete the assessment. If
you do not complete the assessment before then, the assessment will expire and you will need
to begin the assessment again from the beginning.

As the test will adjust the level of difficulty based on your responses, you should provide the
answer on your own without the use of any aides. You may ask questions, but shouldn’t be
“nudged” towards the correct answer as the questions that will then be given may not be the
right level for the student. You may use scratch paper to work out the problems. Remember,
the purpose of this assessment is to see what you already know, so please try your best on each
question.

If you find that your test is cut short suddenly, or says to contact your instructor, then it
probably means that your test instance has been “spoiled”, or canceled due to testing
irregularities.
This is usually the result of answering the questions too quickly, or in a way which resembles
guessing. If your test has been spoiled, you will need to start over, and be sure to take the time
to select your answers carefully.

Before starting the test, please make sure that your pop up blocker is turned off.
If you experience any issues with the function or display of the site, try logging in with a
different browser.

Please continue reading below for instructions on how to log in and begin your assessment.
