The name of the applicant is Kiana Marie B. Concepcion, residing at 191

Roxas Road, May-Iba, Teresa Rizal, third year student taking up Bachelor of

Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management at Tomas

Claudio Colleges.

Name of the Business

The name of the business is KMC Corporation that aims to be the number

one best-selling ice cream company in the province of Rizal. Broccoli Ice Cream

is the name of the product. The Ice Cream mixed with broccoli that is loaded with

healthy nutrients. It has rich source of multiple vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Location

The business will be located in the owner’s land at 191 Roxas Road, May-

Iba, Teresa Rizal near ABC Phil., Inc. The business’ place needs 20 square

meters at the minimum. The owner’s land is also near a Carinderia where flock of

people goes, which means the business can attract a lot of people who can be

the possible customers.

Introduction

Dessert is one of the favorites of most people in the Philippines. Given

that our country is known for its tropical maritime climate, meaning the weather is
generally hot and quite humid, Filipinos solution to this very hot temperature is

none other than ice cream.

Broccoli Ice Cream can quench people’s thirst from the heat. This ice

cream is not just the typical ice cream Filipinos always have; it is mixed with

Broccoli that contains several healthy nutrients. It has rich source of multiple

vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Broccoli also known as Brassica Oleracea is a green vegetable that

almost look like a miniature tree. It is packed with vitamins, minerals and other

bioactive compounds. Broccoli has its benefits when eaten. It can prevent stress

and cellular damage in your eyes, can reduce inflammation in your body’s

tissues. It may also protect against certain types of cancer. Eating broccoli may

aid blood sugar control in people with diabetes and improve diabetic control. In

addition, higher intake of fiber-rich foods like broccoli is associated with a

reduced risk of heart disease. Since broccoli is loaded with vitamin C, a nutrient

known to support a healthy immune system. According to Ansley Hill, RD, LD

(2018), research says that bioactive compounds in broccoli may protect your skin

from UV radiation or sun damage.

For this reason, the researcher chose broccoli as the main ingredient of

the product. Clearly be seen, broccoli has so many health benefits to people. And

by this product, Broccoli Ice Cream by KMC Corporation, can satisfy the cravings

of people during the hot weather in the country, and not only that, can help

improve and protect the health of everyone who will taste this amazingly and

deliciously broccoli ice cream.

Market Feasibility

The proposed business is engaged in producing broccoli ice cream in

which was made with broccoli- its main ingredient that aims to satisfy people’s

cravings to cold dessert at the same time a healthy one to relieve body heat in

this tropical country.

The target market of the business are all of the Rizaleños or the people

living in all of the places in Rizal that is addicted or indulged in eating dessert and

healthy products.

According to marketresearch.com (2017) Filipino ice cream sector has

accounted a volume share of 0.54% in the global market and 1.98% on the

regional (Asia-Pacific) market in 2016. The sector is estimated to grow at a

compound annual growth rate of 6.3% during 2016 to 2021.

Technical Feasibility

The production site of the proposed business is located at 191 Roxas

Road, May-Iba, Teresa Rizal near ABC Phil., Inc. An owned place with 20 square

meters at the minimum.

The ingredients of broccoli ice cream are broccoli, condensed milk, cocoa

powder, almond/cashew nuts, eggs and sugar. This will be made with the

materials such as measuring cups, spoons, bowls, and cups.

Management Feasibility

Broccoli Ice Cream is a sole proprietary business owned by Kiana Marie

Concepcion. The business will have a man power employment of four persons,

including the owner who will be the General Manager, and the rest will be the

operating, marketing, and financial managers.

Financial Feasibility

The KMC Corporation’s source of funds to finance the business will come

from the owner and borrowed money from his or her family.

Socio-Economic Feasibility

The Broccoli Ice Cream will give benefits to the owner by means of

gaining profit from its operations, give opportunities for the employment of the

people in the community. The business will support the government with its tax

revenue.
