Installation Instructions
for Hyundai Audio Models:
TL-01 (Tucson)
DM-01 (Santa Fe)
AD-01 (Elantra)
GD-03 (i30)

This firmware contains Apple CarPlay™, Android
Auto™, Bluetooth enhancements and bug fixes.
It supersedes all firmware for the above models
issued prior to December 11, 2018.

1. Preparation:
a. Ensure the USB memory stick containing the firmware upgrade file
is available*.
b. Ensure the vehicle battery is in good condition; the engine can be
running during the upgrade.
c. Switch the audio set on.
d. Allow approximately 17 minutes for the complete firmware
upgrade.

*PLEASE NOTE:
• If additional copies of the firmware are required, simply copy the
file ‘tll3000h.hdf’ onto a blank, freshly formatted USB memory stick
of 500MB or greater capacity with no other files present.
• The file may be downloaded using your dealer login from
www.cartronics.net.au (Menu>Firmware Upgrade).

2. Insert the USB stick
containing the firmware into
the USB socket located on
the dashboard. Wait 20
seconds.

3. Tap AGREE on the audio

screen when the audio set
starts up.

4. Press the SETUP button

located on the front of the
audio set.

5. Tap the SYSTEM icon on the

audio screen.
The following pictures are of the audio
set LCD screen.

6. Tap the DEVICE
INFORMATION icon on the
audio screen.

7. Check the firmware currently

installed in the set. If it is:
SW Ver: 2.05.10
Micom: 3.28.00
Platform: 1.76.00
it is not necessary to
install new firmware.
Example, If the firmware is a
lower version, tap SOFTWARE
UPDATE.

8. Tap YES to begin the

upgrade. This step of the
upgrade will take
approximately 8 minutes to
complete.

9. The upgrade will commence.

During the upgrade, the USB
memory stick must not be
removed and the ignition
must not be switched off.

10. During the upgrade the
screen will switch off and
then show SW UPGRADE.
Again, during this time, the
USB memory stick must not
be removed and the ignition
must not be switched off.

11. Once this step of the upgrade

is complete, the audio set
will re-start, displaying the
HYUNDAI logo.

12. Tap AGREE on the screen

when the audio set starts up.

13. Press the SETUP button

located on the front of the
audio set.

14. Tap the SYSTEM icon on the
audio screen.

15. Tap the DEVICE

INFORMATION icon on the
audio screen.

16. Check that the following SW

versions are seen on the
screen:
SW Ver: 2.05.10 2.05.10
Micom: 3.28.00 3.28.00
Platform: 1.76.00 1.76.00
If these versions are not
seen, tap SOFTWARE
UPDATE to begin the
second part of the upgrade.
17. If the versions are those seen
in step 16 above, tap ‘Default
Settings’ on the Device
Information screen. Select
YES when asked to initialize
the system as shown.

18. Tap YES to begin the
upgrade. This step of the
upgrade will take
approximately 8 minutes to
complete.

19. During the upgrade the

screen will switch off and
then show SW UPGRADE.
Again, during this time, the
USB memory stick must not
be removed and the ignition
must not be switched off.

20. Once this step of the upgrade

is complete, the audio set
will re-start, displaying the
HYUNDAI logo.

21. Tap AGREE on the screen

when the audio set starts up.

22. Press the SETUP button
located on the front of the
audio set.

23. Tap the SYSTEM icon, then

when the next screen is
displayed tap the DEVICE
INFORMATION icon on the
audio screen.

24. Check that the following is

seen on the screen:

SW Ver: 2.05.10 2.05.10

Micom: 3.28.00 3.28.00
Platform: 1.76.00 1.76.00

25. If the versions are those seen

in step 24 above, tap ‘Default
Settings’ on the Device
Information screen. Select
YES when asked to initialize
the system as shown.

The update process is now

complete.
