December 9, 2021 Dear Mr. and Mrs. Canepele: My name is Melissa Law, a special education intern from Geneva College working with Mrs. Gribben at Todd Lane Elementary School for the past few months. After receiving your approval to work with your daughter, Annalise, on her reading skills, lam pleased to say what a delight this endeavor has been. She actively participated in the reading lessons and had a positive attitude towards learning. Annalise has made great progress the last few months. We have been working on her overall reading skills while focusing on reading comprehension and sight words. Annalise has worked really hard and her efforts have definitely been successful. | think sight words are still a difficult area for Annalise, but | feel she has made progress toward the mastery of them. She appeared to enjoy all of the lessons | planned for her and | think has begun to enjoy reading more. Her greatest strength is her motivation to read and hear stories read aloud. She has grasped many effective comprehension skills that aid in her ability to understand stories she reads in class. | truly believe her motivation to become a better reader will pay off for her as she continues to progress! ‘Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to work with Annalise. She has been a huge blessing to ‘work with and | will always remember Annalise and her excitement as we worked together. ‘Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Mrs. Gribben by calling the school at 724-775-1050. Sincerely, fiche:
