I grew up in a place where the majority of the residents are farmers. Out of my whole family, I
am the first to have had the opportunity to study abroad. Few people in our town have the
resources or opportunities to do so. Farming requires a huge amount of manual work, which is
both physically and mentally exhausting. Seeing my father work hard and assisting him instilled
in me a strong work ethic and gave me the confidence to chase my aspirations abroad.
I wanted to learn an advanced curriculum with the greatest methodology while experiencing a
new culture and enhancing my social skills, so I opted to study abroad. Sheridan provided the
education I was looking for to study from some of the best minds in the world. I've always been
interested in technology, but I didn't want to work on the backend. This curriculum combines
client engagement with information technology, which seemed ideal to me. As a result, I picked
this program since it addressed all of my interests. My biggest strength is my eagerness and
commitment to mastering this program. I prepared myself before coming here to meet any
challenges that may arise while studying overseas. Leaving my hometown to pursue my
aspirations has fuelled my dedication, which will undoubtedly lead to my success.

What is the difference between the types of information included in the My Personal
Culture assignment and the About Me profile?
In the personal culture assignment, I discussed my culture's food preferences. Talking about
food in your About me Profile is pointless because the profile is just for employment purposes.
I wrote about religions and traditional dance forms in my state, which should not be stated in the
About me profile since it might lead to future employers discriminating against me.
I explained why I picked a certain program, college, career, or goal in this assignment, which is
irrelevant in a personal culture assignment.
In this assignment, I've discussed my strengths and sources of inspiration for achieving
objectives and aspirations that are unrelated to my personal culture.
I discussed how we greet visitors in my hometown and what kind of food we provide them in my
Personal culture assignment. This material, which I wrote in my first assignment, is very
personal to my family and has nothing to do with my profession. So there's no need for a
possible employer to be informed of such intimate information about me.
In the first assignment, I also indicated the behaviour and personality of individuals in my
culture, which cannot be included in the About me Profile since it may lead to potential
prejudice against me.
