Novo guslarstvo (Newly singing to the accompaniment of

the gusle(Balkan music instrument). Kultura 116/117, Zavod za kulturni razvitak,
Beograd, 2006. The article deals with the descriptive type of "newly guslarstvo"
phenomenon, archaic musical forms in the Balkans that has gone missing from the
environmental practices of the early twentieth century. With the begining of the
disintegration of Yugoslavia is reviving as a key determinant of national identity
both Serbs and Croats. In practice, this musical epic character is dominated by
text that describes the current military action. Singing with the fiddle in the
