The instrument safeguard human rights in the face of science and
technology through promoting higher standards of living, full
employment and conditions of economic and social progress and
development. The instrument safeguard human rights through
mandating all states and international organizations to undertake
measures to eliminate hindrances to social progress, such as inequality,
exploitation, war, colonialism and racism, from the society, especially,
with the help of science and technology.

2. What challenges stand in the way of the instrument and its key
principles in safeguarding human rights in the face of changing scientific
and technological contexts?
Some challenges in the way of the instrument and its key
principles in safeguarding human rights in the face of changing scientific
and technological contexts is the lack of resources and the possibility of
lacking information in regard with science and technology ideas.
