Dear “Student Parent”:

My name is Marissa Lund-Zeiber, a special education intern from Geneva College working with
Mrs. Bober at Margaret Ross Elementary School for the past few months. After receiving your
approval to work with your son, Jarrod, on his reading skills, I began working with him and I
enjoyed the time that we spent working on my case study together. He actively participated in
the reading lessons and had a positive attitude towards learning.

Carson has made great progress the last few months. We have been working on his overall
reading skills while focusing on phonemic awareness and sight words. Carson has worked really
hard and his efforts have definitely been successful. I think sight words are still a difficult area
for Carson, but I feel he has made progress toward the mastery of them. He appeared to enjoy all
of the lessons I planned for him and I think has begun to enjoy reading more. His greatest
strength is being able to discuss his progress and include topics that he is interest in such as space
and his favorite video games. He has shown wonderful improvement in reading with expression
and I feel that he enjoys putting his own personal touch to the readings through his reading
voice!

Thank you again for allowing me the opportunity to work with Carson. He has been a huge
blessing to work with and I will always remember Carson and his excitement as we worked
together.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or Mrs. Bober by calling the
school at 724-847-1234.

Sincerely,

Marissa Lund-Zeiber
