1.) Muslims believe that Jesus was a servant, teacher and lover of God’s word, they do not believe
that he was divine or the Son of God. Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet who was given a
special message – injil, or the gospel – to convey to all people.
2.) In Islam, Muhammad is more important than Jesus. Muhammad is supposed to be their prophet
supremo even though he didn’t prophesy a thing. Quran is being revealed to Muhammad so
that Muhammad can go teach the message to others. It is not designed to tell the life of
Muhammad to people who watched Muhammad grow from childhood.
3.) They believe that Mary is one of the most honored figures in Islamic theology, with the majority
of Muslims viewing her as one of the most righteous women to have lived, and a minority
viewing her as a prophet. Muslim women look upon her as an example and are known to visit
both Muslim and Christian shrines.
4.) Since Muslims don’t believe that Jesus was God’s son, there is nothing for them to celebrate and
the festival plays no part in the Muslim calendar. It also means that in Muslim countries there is
no official holiday. It’s why Muslims don’t decorate their homes, schools or offices with
Christmas trees and fairy lights.
