DESCRIPTION OF NONCONFORMITY

During Receiving Inspection of Equipment 5105A/B, defects were found such as big scratches, rusted and
exposed surfaces. This is clearly violation of approved coating procedure 10040-00-PD-0022-R3, para.12.7
which states regarding Shipping, Handling and Storage of Coated Items. Coated items shall be handled with
equipment such as wide belt slings, web belts, and wide padded skids selected to prevent damage to the
coating. Handling equipment likely to cause damage to the coating shall not be used. Items such as chains,
cables, hooks, tongs, metal bars, and narrow skids shall not be permitted to come in contact with the coating.
Dragging or skidding coated items shall not be permitted. Coated items shall be loaded, padded, and secured
for transport in such a manner that the coating will not be damaged in transit.
