These documentaries are not listed as being 100% fact, they’ve been chosen for their thought provoking
content and many discuss new ideas and concepts that are either currently impossible to be scienti韺�cally
explored or have yet to be explored enough. As a note, Einstein’s special relativity theory
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_relativity) was published in 1905 but wasn’t actually fully accepted
into the physics community until 1920. So, I prefer not to dismiss the exploration of new ideas just because
they do not adhere to the status quo, for that is the only way we make progress. So, onto the best
documentaries on YouTube:

1. CENTURY OF THE SELF 1

The Century of the Self is a thought provoking, four part documentary describing how Freudian and post-
Freudian ideas about human nature were adopted by corporations and politicians to manipulate society and
public values in the 20th Century. There is a particular focus on the in韺�uence of Edward Bernays, the
inventor of public relations, on American culture, business, and politics. This is a well crafted, engagingly
paced, and consistently interesting documentary, which has since developed a bit of a cult following.

‘new age’ and ‘all you need is love’ mindsets to question the over embracing of love and denial of negative

5. THE CORPORATION

The corporation as a psychopath. Our daily lives are dominated by

corporations, most goods, services, information and
entertainment now 韺�ow from huge multinationals. But what if
this dominant player in our existence is certi韺�ably insane? This
韺�lm is a compelling story of the evil that can be and is done by
and in the name of corporations. Piles of detailed examples on top
of interviews on top of documentary 韺�lm clips, highly
recommended.

6. BARAKA
This can be streamed on Net韺�ix. A powerful visual masterpiece that takes you on a tour of the globe. If man
sends another Voyager to the distant stars and it can carry only
one 韺�lm on board, that 韺�lm might be “Baraka.” It uses no
language, so needs no translation. It speaks in magni韺�cent
images, natural sounds, and music both composed and discovered.
It regards our planet and the life upon it and stands outside of
historical time. Highly recommend it’s follow up 韺�lm Samsara

Collaborative
documentary piecing

– THE STRUCTURE OF INFINITY

The Structure of In韺�nity takes a more focused look at the fractal nature of
the Universe. Through examination of The Mandelbrot set and Fractal
Geometry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractal), the second volume takes
us on a journey through the Fractal Universe culminating in a paradigm
shifting view on the nature of reality itself. I recommend watching the
韺�rst volume if you are unfamiliar with Graham Hancock’s work, as for the

Hi Defiant,

If you check the oxford dictionary you'll see that 'documentary' is defined as 'consisting of or
based on official documents'. It's the most appropriate universal noun for promoting these videos
and if you re­read we did not say they are not 'based on fact' we said they are not listed in our
opinion as '100% fact'. Many similar sites to us push out the derogatorily labelled 'conspiracy
theory' type content as truth, whereas we prefer to offer out thought provoking content without
attached belief, where the readers openly voice their own uninfluenced opinions.

I think the whole point of a documentary is to make you think, not learn. Therefore
a documentary having fact is a bogus. anybody can make a documentary, but
certainly everyone views the world differently so it's impossible for anyone to make
a "factual" documentary as it is all based on perception

compared favorably over What the Bleep, The Secret, I Am, Thrive and Zeitgeist and Beyond Reason and
Beyond Belief are just as good, if not better.
