RP is no longer the sick man in Asia
crisis.
“The Philippines is no longer the sick man in Asia,” pahayag ni Secretary Edgardo D. Pamintuan ng
Office of External Affairs (OEA) sa kanyang pakikipagdayalogo sa iba’t-ibang Filipino organization sa
Estados Unidos noong huling linggo ng Pebrero. Ang OEA ay isang tanggapan sa ilalim ng Office of the
President.
“It used to be that when America sneezes, the Philippines is already suffering from pneumonia.
“We are creating a seamless network of multi-modal transport-oriented infrastructure that would promote
greater efficiency in the movement of goods, services, people and information,” ayon kay Pamintuan.
“Because of the global crisis, companies would now be locating to areas where there are efficient
facilities and where the cost of doing business is lower,” ani Pamintuan.
