C7 ACERT Engines of Certain Machines". Disregard this article. Refer to the article that follows.

Description of Change: The new pumps contain roller bearings which prolong the life of the pumps.

Adaptable To: The 384-0677 Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Gp is a direct replacement for the
present 319-0677 Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Gp. The 384-0607 Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Gp
is a direct replacement for the 319-0607 Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Gp. Refer to the Special
Instruction, REHS8178, "Installation of a Dual Tapered Roller Bearing HEUI Hydraulic Pump onto
Certain C7 ACERT Engines" for the installation procedures.

The new pumps are adaptable back to the first production of the listed machines. The change is
effective at the factory with the engine serial numbers KHX47176-UP. The new unit injector
hydraulic pump group has a new bearing design which improves operation. The new Hydraulic
Electronic Unit Injector (HEUI) pump has physical dimensions that are different than the previous
pump. The different dimensions may require the addition of new fuel and oil lines along with the
pump in most applications. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS8178, "Installation of a Dual Tapered
Roller Bearing HEUI Hydraulic Pump onto Certain C7 ACERT Engines" for a list of parts needed to
install the new pump group along with the procedure.
