Are Naps Needed? By Taylor Thorson.

I bet you can imagine all the benefits from naps.. But have you thought about the bad things about
naps?

If you are always losing sleep it is called: Sleep debt, sleep debt is not a good thing for example if you
lost 3 hours of sleep everyday for a week you would lose 21 hours of sleep in a week. That is a lot of
sleep lost for a week.

Other people think of ways to deal with sleepiness liking napping, they think a few hour long nap can
keep them going for the rest of the day. It can’t it won’t work for out for you. Even though naps do
provide a boost for you and some alertness it doesn’t always work. William C. Dement has made some
studies and done research on naps and how they won’t benefit you, Studies show that if you don’t
enough sleep you can get a foggy brain and not remember as well and you also have trouble
remembering things.. On the other hand.

People that work graveyard shifts usually sleep during the day as a result of working all night, they might
also sleep more on there day offs. Sleeping on your days off might be a sign that you don’t get enough
sleep everyday, even if the extra sleep does make you feel better during the day it might worsen you’re
body’s sleeping rhythm and it might make you have a bad day and be mean to the people you love. But
there is other reasons to try to help you’re sleeping habits.

If you want to try and improve you’re sleep you can buy a sleep diary and write down how much sleep
you get everyday, you can use the sleep diary for a few weeks write down how you feel in the morning
and at the end of the day, but don’t forget to write down how much sleep you get at night.

So in the end I hope this changed you’re point of view on naps and getting enough sleep at night.
