Attendance to WRP Online Activities

What is your most liked recreational activities? My most liked recreational activity is
writing. I have been in love with writing ever since my mom gave me her old fiction
books. Some were well known stories like “Alice in Wonderland.” It is a story book about
a woman falling down a rabbit hole where was traveled into another world. The story
was animated and was filmed into movies. Whenever I was watching those type of
fictional stories, I imagine them happening to me. And reading those words in books or
subtitles in movies made me inspired to write. The story was all about believing that you
can do anything if you believe. And since then, I had the experience of writing
encouraging feature articles for Junior Advocate, the official publication of Far Eastern
Senior High School. Although not all of my drafts were approved and published. It was
still an experience I learned a lot of lessons from. Then I moved to college, but I never
stopped writing.
Which WRP online session you attended was aligned to the recreational activities
you enjoy doing the most? Why? The WRP online session I attended was Music
Appreciation or Relaxation that was facilitated by Ms. Leah Olmos. And similar to my
most liked recreational activity of writing, I felt relaxed during the session. The music
was slow and sad, and it felt very inspiring to write about the struggles of people during
the COVID19 pandemic. It was definitely a fruitful experience because I never how
much being alone without anyone to have physical social interaction was a burden to
most people until everyone in the Philippines were quarantined. We were like fish in a
fishbowl. We were living every day, watching our phone screens to see if there is
anything good happening outside. The experience of just listening to music and relaxing
was similar to yoga. The activity really helped me relax and take a break from stress.
And it was nice to know that others also needed this type of break.
