Why Politicians Must Act on Climate Change

Climate change is a worldwide existential crisis. This paragraph will discuss two

things that we humans must do to resolve the climate crisis. First of all, humans need to

unite behind the science as affirmed by 99.9% of scientists. These scientists have made

it abundantly clear that urgent action is required humans need to change course. The

actions that are needed include: phasing out fossil fuels, preserving natural areas, and

increasing the density of our urban areas. These actions will lead to positive outcomes.

Secondly, our political leaders need work harder to follow the wishes of their citizens;

this means acting now and urgently. Some needed government initiatives include the

following three actions: support the scientific evidence, promote renewable energy

sources, and outlaw the manufacture of damaging products such as single-use plastics.

If we succeed, we will save planet Earth. A side benefit will be more beautiful and

healthy lives for us!
