The table illustrates the predicted cost in American dollars for three
environmental projects within next five years and the information about the
forecasted expenditure share for the first year is presented on the pie chart.
It can be seen from the table that South-east Asia has the highest predicted cost
over a whole period. Besides, among the four criteria of expenditure, salary is
mainly focused.
In the first year, the estimated cost of African project is 10.5 million dollars, a
little more than half of that of Central America and about one-third of the figure
for Asia. There is a decreasing prediction of expenditure on this project in the
following years, with a drop to 3.5 million dollars in Year 5. Although Central
America project shows a similar pattern, this project is expected to spend at
least 5 million dollars in year 5 which is four times less than in year 1. By
contrast, a significant rise in the cost of Asian project is set throughout the
period, with the beginning number is at 30 million and the final number is up to
50 million.
Regarding the pie chart, a hefty 50% of the projected cost in Year 1 will cover
salaries, while training and office expenses will simultaneously share 10% each
and the rest part of set-up costs.
