Joining notes in music notation


Objectives
• Identify the values of
beamed notes
• Beam quavers and
semiquavers
•When eighth notes (quavers) and sixteenth notes
(semiquavers) appear alone, they have curved lines called
Beaming flags attached to the right of the stem. When two or more of
these notes appear, they are instead joined by lines called
Notes beams.
