Find the transfer function of the mass-spring-damper system given below and design a suitable
controller for this close-loop system so that the system will operate with 12% overshoot and a two-
fold reduction in settling time of the uncompensated system. Further, the compensated system will
exhibit a four-fold improvement in steady-state error for a step input.
