The literacy narrative should be, primarily, narrative based. The story is at the heart of this
assignment. Through the story, a reader should be able to sense and identify the specific literacies
and Discourses being discussed, but this should not feel explanatory or expository. It is a story, well-
told, which reveals much and has clear connections to concepts of literacy and Discourse as
discussed in class.
