End-Term Examination
Time: 150 Minutes.
Marks: 100 Marks
Instructions:
• The examination will be conducted over Moodle. The case “End-Term Examination
Case” can be downloaded from Moodle.
• It is an open book/ notes examination. Students can refer to the reference textbook,
notes and course-materials. Exchange of material or discussion is not permitted.
• Through Moodle, you will be given two questions based on the case and each question
should be answered in one document/file. Each question has equal marks. Word limit
for each question is 1500 to 2000 words.
• It is compulsory to write your Full Name, Roll No, Section and Course name at the
right side of the document as header.
• Mention clearly the question number you are attempting.
• No extra time will be allotted for uploading documents. Kindly start uploading 5
minutes prior to deadline else it won’t be accepted. Last minute connectivity issues to be
informed prior 5 minutes of deadline too.
• All answer sheets should be in PDF/Word Format only. The frameworks/diagrams can
be drawn using “shapes and smart art”. However, if anyone chooses to write with hand,
the handwritten answer sheets (A4 size) should be scanned and submitted in PDF
format within the time limit.
• The answer sheets failing to abide by the above instructions will not be evaluated.
• DA students will be allowed for one-third extra time.

answer the following questions based on classroom discussion.

Q1. From the case, what will you deduct as Vedanta’s corporate strategy? What do you think
(and why) are their key people management (HRM policies and practices) challenges arising
in the context of the strategy? (50 Marks)

Q2. Assess the team’s vision for HR within the company. How are the people's practices
(especially the talent management ones) aligned with the vision? (50 Marks)
