Concept of org behaviour

Organisational Behaviour is the study and application of


knowledge about how people act within organisations. It is a human
tool for human benefits. It applies to the behaviour of people iat
work in all types of organizations: public, private, cooperative
sector, commercial or service organisations. Whatever
organisations are, there is a need to understand organisational
behaviour.
Organisational Behaviour is the study of human behaviour in
organisations to make more active human performance to achieve
organisational objectives as well as human objectives.
Organisational Behaviour aims at finding out those ways in which
people will contribute in best possible manner.
The study of Organisational Behaviour involves understanding,
prediction and control of human behaviour and the factors which
influence the performance of people in an organisation. It is
concerned with the behaviour of individuals and groups not the
behaviour of all members collectively
Study of organisational behaviour helps in studying:
i. Why people behave in a particular way?
