Write an overview of the movie based on your understanding of the change management.

The Pursuit of Happyness depicts a real story based on the trials and tribulations the protagonist Chris
Gardner went through, which can be paralleled with change management as the movie showed Gardner
being an effective leader. Following an unsuccessful business investment and strained marriage,
Gardner constantly found himself living in financial distress, eventually leading to being separated from
his wife and ending up homeless with his only son. Even though these events would have the potential
to break someone down, he persistently kept his sales appointments despite failing most of the time.
Between these events, he had gotten a surge of inspiration from an extravagantly living stock broker
who he ran into, embarking his journey to the 6-months unpaid internship that offered training and
potential job opportunity as a stock broker. He went through dimensions of change, including living in
soup kitchens and shelters to save money for his son’s daycare, efficiently handling clients by reaching
out to the ones on top of the lists which were against the priority etc. Additionally, he helped his son
adapt to the drastic changes (being evicted, having to sleep in restrooms) through make-believe stories.
A pragmatist, had he not taken the leap of faith and rejected the internship out of fear of failing to
juggle the expenses or not receiving a job offer after the internship, he would not be eventually
successful and later start his own multi-millionaire stock brokerage firm
