As the function driving our brand-building efforts, marketing is at the heart of what we do.
Indeed, “Brand Building the Nestlé Way” is a distinctive process that sets our marketing function
apart in the industry – from both a commercial and career point of view.

marketing team provides an end-to-end service reflected in our three key areas: brand
management, communications and consumer insight. Importantly, marketing is not an isolated
activity here – our focus on the consumer ensures we provide seamless service, working hand-in-
hand with our customer and sales teams.

The opportunity
The strength of our brand portfolio and the breadth of our brand activities makes our
marketing team an excellent career option for both recent graduates and experienced marketing
and brand professionals. As you’d expect, there’s a wealth of opportunity here. You could join us
in any of our three key areas, and from there, your career could follow several routes. You could
move into commercial or general management as many of our business, market and country heads
have done, or you could follow a more specialist path.

The challenge

our belief in enhancing lives with everything we do. With strong marketing credentials, ideally
gained in a fast-moving consumer goods environment, you’ll have shown you relish solving
commercial challenges with marketing practices. Strong communication and analytical skills are
key in this area, as is the ability to influence others and collaborate with teams and individuals.
The people who excel in marketing at Nestlé are open-minded, they meet objectives effectively
and responsibly and they execute flawlessly.

customer at the heart of everything we do.

The opportunity
supply chain function is a great platform for driven, collaborative supply chain
professionals. Whether you join us in demand and supply planning, procurement, physical logistic
or customer service, you’ll bring us closer to customers by making sure our products are there at
the right time, in the time condition. In supply chain your career could follow several routes. You
could move into a technical/production role, or you could follow a more specialist supply chain
track. You can also decide to move to the business side into a sales or marketing role.

The challenge
Whichever path you take, you’ll need to understand that each element of the supply chain
relies heavily on strong relationships with other areas, and that creates a community of like-minded
people. This department is made up of a real team where everyone goes out of their way to help
each other deliver.

and expertise will sharpen our competitiveness.

Human Resources (HR)

As the function responsible for attracting, developing and engaging the exceptional talent
we need to grow our business, HR offers opportunities in three key areas. You could continue your
career in HR business partnership helping line managers improve business performance through
people. If you have proven experience in recruitment, development or another specialist HR area,
you’ll join our team of HR specialists. Or you could join our support team, the group that ensures
our employees have their essential needs taken care of so they can focus on what they do best.

Information Systems/Information Technology (IS/IT)

As part of IS/IT team, you’ll unleash technology’s potential by unlocking your own. One
of the key channels you’ll have for doing this will be our GLOBE program. GLOBE is a major
worldwide business and IS initiative creating common best practices and infrastructures. As a part
of GLOBE, you’ll join a project team working to implement Best Business Practices and Processes
through our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). This will involve deepening your SAP skills,
working alongside colleagues from diverse backgrounds and shaping our thinking with yours.
