Ask students to bring photographs from magazines with people in a certain pose. Students glue
the photos on cardboard cards. Shuffle them.
His job is to give you instructions, so you (teacher) will look like the person on the photo. “Sit/lie
down on the table. Put your left hand under your head. Put your left hand on your stomach. Put
your right foot under your left ankle. .....”
Revise math vocabulary – a square, a rectangle, a triangle, a circle, a oval, ... + a star, a line, a
heart, a flower etc...
Student A draws a simple picture and give instructions to student B. Student B draws the
picture. In the end they compare. SUPERB FUN!
eg: draw a pig, a dog, a cat, a bird, a house, a robot, a tree, a garden .......
Bizarre picture – draw a picture/photo of your room. Place 10 objects on strange places. eg:
There is a T-shirt on the lamp. There is a plant under the bed....
Students read a graded reader and underline all prepositions. Then write down the phrases
or whole sentences. The student with the highest number of VARIOUS prepositions WINS.
Gimme the Answer – S1 picks an answer card (On the desk.) S1 asks questions, and waits
for the right answer (eg: Where is the pen? “(It’s) ON the desk.”)
Build a castle – ss make a castle from various items, a desk, chairs, bags, books, plants.
Group A give instructions, group B builds... The most beautiful girl hides inside the castle. In the
end they make a photo.
Scavenger hunt – hide several objects, group A finds the objects, hides them and gives
instructions to group B (or student B) – left, right, up, down, step aside, under, behind, in,
against, by, on, between, above, near, to the left of...
Treasure – Group A writes hints on small pieces of paper. eg: Go to the window and look under
the plant. The student finds the next message under the plant. (8-15 messages, the last one is
hidden under the treasure (a bag of sweets...)
