Chaperone
In “My Favorite Chaperone” a teenager named Maya, Maya and her
family immigrated to United State because of lack of money in their
home country, Maya`s conflict is that she want to go to the spring fling
but she believes her papa and mama will not allow her to go, Nurzhan her
younger brother gets in a fight with another boy that ha been bullying him
in school so Maya goes to the school to translate what happened for her
papa, changing the translation to make the fight sounds less severe. Maya
have got in trouble for interacting with Daniel outside of the school her
family states that she has shamed them, Maya`s brother convinces her
parents to permit Maya to attend the school dance, by agreeing to be her
chaperone. In the end, Maya is able to attend the dance and bridge her
