IoT Based Smart Clothesline Retrieval

System
Introduction
Hanging clothes outside to dry can become a hassle.
Especially when one is not at home and it starts to rain. As
an application of smart home control and monitoring
system, smart clothesline retrieval can be introduced.

This system utilizes Node MCU microcontroller, rain

sensor, LDR, temperature and humidity sensor, servo
motor and LCD display. During rain the servo motor will
compress the mechanical parts of the clothesline and it will
automatically send notification to the users' smartphone.
Objectives
• To introduce new technology for the modern,
busy lifestyle.
• To implement a solution that would prevent the
washed clothes from getting wet.
• To monitor and control the clothesline using
smartphone.
• To save time that could be used for other
activities.
• To evaluate performance of the system.
