Contemporary Politics in Southeast Asia

Southeast Asia News desk analysis:

Description: The Southeast Asia news desk analysis is a group presentation where each
group presented contemporary news (the latest the better, not more than 3 months old) from
the assigned Southeast Asia country.

Your task is as follows: 1. Find four different recent news from a Southeast Asia country:
-News on domestic politics.
-News on foreign relations
-News on Economy
-News on Social culture.

2. Once you find the news prepare a presentation about it as follows:

Part I:
-Prepare a brief game that would serve as an ice breaker for the
country that you are presenting.
-Make sure the game will have the whole class involvement and
provide information about the country that you are presenting.
-Length: 10-12 minutes in total

Part II:
-Give brief description of the chosen news
-Why did you choose that particular news?
-Is it related with any International Relations theory/concept that you
learned in class? If yes explain it in the presentation!
-Close with an overall conclusion.
-Length: 15-20 minutes total.

3. Prepare a written report (One for each group) about the news that
you presented. The content of the report is the brief description of
chosen news, and then your brief analysis of it for each news then
close it with a conclusion. Please indicate in the report who is doing
which report so it will be clear to me when I am grading it.
Please submit the report on the day of your presentation. (Font 12,
