The maps depict the outskirts of the town of Fosbury in 1980 and 2015.

In general, the changes


show the extension and urbanization of its facilities during over two decades.
The most noticable construction was the road layout, with an appearance of the roundabout in
the middle of the town and an increase in the number of roads, leading to commercial and
recreational features. Furthermore, the block of flats had been demolished and the terraced
houses had been relocated by 2015.
Another significant change was the erection of some recreational and commercial amenities.
By 2015, the tennis courts had transformed to the sports center with both tennis and rugby,
meanwhile the park had been moved to the empty ground near the roundabout. On the
commercial side, the replacement of huge fields by many warehouses and the removal of the
grocer’s shop. The supermarket was built on the right side of the town, with a new car park
nearby and another one next to the sports center.
To sum up, the town was renovated and expanded, witnessing the striking changes to an
advanced urban area from a large rural one.
