Acceptance is a concept which forgoes judgment on a circumstance. Acceptance is a
mindset which allows you to let go of frustration and disappointment, stress and anxiety, regret
and false hopes. Acceptance brings peace. Acceptance is the practice of recognizing the limits
of your control. Acceptance is a straightforward concept yet a difficult practice. The fact of the
matter is that life is full of opportunities for you to wish that something else did happen, is
happening, will happen when it is not and that is all part of acceptance which is presented in the
stories.
Like what Barbara said everyone should be accepted but that can't always happen of
course like shown in the stories and vise versa. All humans are the same and should be treated
like such and Jordan has a point that should be expressed and presented throughout everything
For example in the story against johnson, I belive he was considered to be accepted as a
human being who deserves his basic rights and so everything being taken under consideration,
decisions were made so that everything could play out accordingly. And so the acceptance of the
wrong doing was presented but also the acceptance of the rights and needs of the victim.
To continue, the courts statement in the flag stands for tolerance also proved how in a
way acceptance is presented as in how the court had a filled explained, reasonable pointed out
detailed statement of how everything was going to go down despite some being wrong to one
end, but in the end basic rights must be considered and accepted, obviously because it is the right
thing to do and must be done as expressed by the earlier quote in the collection.
To conclude, the act of acceptance should be put into practice as Jordan said. The text in
the collection show examples of some ideas of both sides which contribute to the idea of how
everyone as human beings with basic rights should be accepted even though being found to be
unreasonable or wrong in the eyes of someone who can't comprehend or accept it.
