Securing unmanaged devices in a financial services firm
This payment processing firm needed to clearly identify all assets—managed, unmanaged, and IoT—to
properly manage its risk posture. It had experienced rapid growth of unmanaged devices, from transient
devices that vendors, employees, and guests brought through the environment, connected smart
devices like TVs and digital assistants, and building management systems.
The firm’s CISO was primarily concerned that an undetected compromise of one of these devices could
