The graph illustrates information about the number of library books read by boys and
girls at Starmouth School from 2006 to the present. It shows the trends between 2006 and
the present day.

According to the graph, the trends for boys and girls were very different. Book numbers
readers by boys rose slightly from 50 to 80. There was a gradual increase in numbers to
100 since 2011. The numbers fell sharply to 80 in 2012.

The number of books read by girls increased considerably from 2009 to 2010, from about
25 to 40. And then, there was a dramatical increase in numbers to 140 in 2012.

Overall, there has been an extreme upward trend in the number of books read by female
students. Although male students read more books in 2009 and 2010, but the number fell
to 80 at last, lower than the number of girls in 2012.
