The diagrams show the ways people collect water for irrigation channels and from these

channels to fields for farming.

The diagram A shows how to collect water from irrigation channels to fields with swing
basket. It has a basket made of bamboo or leather and 4 ropes. These ropes are tied with
the sides of the basket: 2 ropes in a side and 2 others in the opposite side. There are 2
people standing two sides. Each of them holds the ropes. Then, they pull up the basket
from the channels and move towards to the fields.

The diagram B shows how to get water from wells to irrigation channels by using an ox
pull the rope and bucket. This method consists of a bucket-and-pulley system. The
process begins when the cow comes near the well so the length of the rope inside the well
gets longer. When the cow walks down on the slope, the bucket is pulled up to the top of
the well and water is poured into the irrigation channels.

Overall, these diagrams show two methods that how to collect water for irrigation
channels. It seems to be easy but however they depend on which method use more power
to collect water from different depths.
