Method
Cut 2 pieces of potato to 50cm
Add one piece to into the sugar solution
Add the other piece into the water

Discuss the following questions and write your ideas in

1. Make a prediction about what will happen to the size of

the two pieces of potato after a period time.
2. Use your understanding of transport to explain your
prediction.
3. What type of transport is this?
4. Is this a passive or active transport, explain why.
