1. What are some of Samsung’s greatest competitive strengths?

Samsung's main competitive advantages are its ability to innovate and create products
efficiently. The company reduced costs and shifted its attention to product quality, outstanding
customer satisfaction, and manufacturing flexibility. Samsung invested a lot of effort into
research and development, and many of its products are the result of it. Samsung is an
innovative brand that focuses a lot on innovation to bring efficient products that are excellent
in terms of performance as well as productivity. Apart from its smartphones which are both
attractive and efficient, the brand is also a leader in the chip industry.

2.) How did Samsung grow its core despite of having strong competitors? Elaborate.

Despite heavy competition in the smartphone and consumer electronics industries, Samsung
has retained its leadership because to its commitment to technical advancement. As a result,
their popularity and sales have increased. Advanced technology, supply chain, marketing, and
brand image are some of its core strengths. However, the company's strong position is
strengthened by a number of sources of competitive advantage. It's also a significant
chipmaker, and its Galaxy smartphones are among the most popular among Apple's iPhone
competitors.

3.) In your opinion, what kind of defense strategy does Samsung have that it was able to keep
up with its competitors? Explain.

In my opinion, the defense strategy does Samsung have is position defense because they are
focused on keeping a firm hold on their strong brand perception within the market and also,
they are focused on customer loyalty and consumer awareness. It’s about maintaining and
defending your position in the minds of your customer base and prospects in the face of a
competitor threat.

4. In comparison with Apple and other smartphone brands, is Samsung a cloner, imitator, or
adapter? Justify your answer.

Samsung, in my opinion, is an adaptor since it adapts or improves the products of the leader.
They have similar products, however Samsung adapts from their closest competitors to
produce a better product. As a result, Samsung is able to keep costs low, manufacture a wide
range of products to meet a wide range of needs, make quick design changes, and launch new
products at an unusually rapid pace.
