1. The ultimate goal of having students introduced with Process Control module is, to identify the existence of processes around them and how they can initiate improvement in having the flow improved. a) Students are required to draw a basic flowchart by using standard flowchart symbols available in the excel spreadsheets. They may identify a process from their currently attached work. ( 10 marks) b) Identify a minimum of 2 areas where the flowchart can be revised (can add or remove processes) and explain why it was needed. ( 5 marks) (You will need to review existing flow at your workplace and critically revise and suggest)
2. Give explanation with examples on the below mentioned terms:
a) Why do we need to identify process bottlenecks? How it can be eliminated? ( 5 marks) b) What are the advantages and disadvantages of Assembly Line and Cell Line? ( 5 marks) c) SPS or Statistical Process Control is an important tool used in manufacturing lines for process controls. Discuss with relevant diagram and process that you understand. (5 marks)
3. Why continuous Process Improvement and Controls are very important to any organization regardless in manufacturing or service line? Discuss critically. (10 marks)
