Introduce topic A new era of big data
Credibility I am interested in this topic and have done some research on
it.
Background of topic Big data can be described as the huge amount of data which
differs from the traditional warehouse data in terms of size
and structure. Data is growing rapidly as it is being generated
and recorded from everyone and everywhere. Big data is very
important things to the organization as is involve analytics to
predicts performance. At the same time, according to the IDG
Enterprise 2016 Data & Analytics Research reported that
there are many challenges faced by the big organization
recently in handling the big data.
Central Idea There are several challenges faced by the organization around
the world in implementing big data

Description of data 1. Transforming Data With Intelligence(TDWI) predictive
analysis graph shows that the challenges faced by the
organization in 2014.
2. Data integration complexity is point out as the most
challenges faced by the organization with 35% among the
others challenges.
Analysis of data 3. The variety associated with big data leads to challenges in
data integration. This is because, data comes from entire
sources and places. In the IDG report, 89 percent of those
surveyed said that their companies planned to invest in new
big data tools in the next 12 to 18 months. When asked
which kind of tools they were planning to purchase,
integration technology was the things issued by the
organization.
Description of data 1. This vertical bar chart by Capgemini Consulting indicates
that 35% of challenges come from organizational in
November 2014.
2. In addition, vertical bar chart by Capgemini Consulting show
that 25% challenges come from lack of big data skills and
talent.
3. This chart shows that ineffective coordination of big data
and analytics team across the organization is the third most
challenges of big data implementation.

Analysis of data 5. People in the organization can be issue as the
challenges in facing this era. In the NewVantage
Partners survey, respondents pointed to three big
obstacles within their organizations which is
insufficient organizational alignment, lack of middle
management adoption and understanding, business
resistance or lack of understanding which refer to
organizational resistance.

6. Big data software only can be handle by the expertise. The

professional with high skills in handling data is needed to
play around with different kind of data. That has made the
demand for big data talent and salaries increase
dramatically. In 2017, Robert Half Technology Salary
Guide reported that big data engineers were earning
between $135,000 and $196,000 on average, while data
scientist salaries ranged from $116,000 to $163, 500This
situation means that this job have a high demand

Conclusion
Conclusion The universal success of any business organization is depends
on the big data analytics. Both charts above have stated the
challenges of big data. The challenges mentioned are data
integration complexity, organizational resistance and lack of
big data skills.
Recommendation As we live in the era of big data, the need of modern, high
performance and capable technologies along with advance
techniques and algorithms to deal with this challenges. The
organization should make more research and development in
implementing big data.This effort will make the organization
more successful in future.In the same time, the government
should do some effort in exposing people regarding big data by
the media. This will make people get to know more about big
data in this era.
