UBL is amongst the leading commercial banks in serving the beneficiary customers of inward home
remittance for Pakistan. In order to tap the remittance customer segment, UBL Omni aims at
introducing a branchless banking home remittance account. This account will be an extension of the
branchless banking biometric account.
Transaction Flow
Screen-1:
Customer visits the agent and requests for Home Remittance Account.
Agent will login to the portal and select the Account Opening Home Remittance option
available in the transaction menu.

Agent then enters the customer’s CNIC and mobile number and will select “Next” to proceed
further.

I. Agent will enter the following details of the customer for registration:
a. Full Name as per CNIC
b. Father’s/Spouse’s Name
c. Occupation
d. Source of Income
e. Purpose of Account
f. Remitter Locations
g. Relationship with Remitter
h. Next of Kin
i. Agent then checkmarks designated checkboxes pertaining to:
II. Agent asks the customer to provide biometric verification as specimen signature and as
agreement to the Terms and Conditions of HRA.
III. Agent enters password to proceed.
IV. Customer is registered for L 1 Home Remittance Account and receipt is generated.

Transaction & Balance Limits
Customer will be assigned below limits as per SBP regulations:

UBL Omni has strategized to further enhance the offering in Phase-II, however customer shall
be allowed to perform debit transactions with a daily debit limit of PKR 50,000.
Customers can only receive inward remittance transactions as credits in their HRA.
Customers shall be provided airtime worth Rs. 2 on each USD remittance received.
UBL shall only forward the airtime posting request to respective telecom operators and shall
not be responsible for airtime posting status.
