Hello Bishop Families ~

With the holiday season upon us, I want to express my warmest wishes for each and every
one of you to have a safe and restful Winter Break.

I am so proud of our school community and the resilience that our students, staff, and
families have demonstrated this school year. We have certainly encountered many
challenges, as we navigate this historic time together.

I am continually grateful for the thoughtfulness, flexibility, and positivity that our community
has brought to this school year. Our students are such a source of joy and I could not be
happier to have all of our students back in person again.

Our campus has come back to life, and we are all savoring the sense of normalcy that the
school day provides. As a community, we have the power to keep our program running and
to protect those around us, especially as we embark on this break.

Thank you again for all that you have done to support the Bishop, our teachers, and our
students this year. I hope that your Winter Break is safe, warm, and filled with love.

 The Wyvern Magazine Showcase
Dear Bishop Families ~
I'm proud to share with you the first issue of Bishop's newest art and literary magazine, "The
Wyvern." The Wyvern Magazine showcases art, fiction, comics, and poetry from Bishop fifth
graders. It's editors-in-chief are Alder Johnson & JJ Shapiro.

Thank you for your support! We hope to share another issue with you in January or
February! Happy New Year everyone! Have a relaxing and well-deserved vacation!!

Thank you for the generous snack contributions! All items on the Bishop Elementary Snacks
Amazon Wishlist have been fulfilled. We now are stocked for the next several months to
come. Once we have exhausted the supplies, there may be another opportunity for
donations. For now, it is with deep appreciation that we thank you for your help in supporting
our Bishop snack program, so that we can meet our mission to ensure that every student
has a snack.

Special thank you to Marisa Silveri, our Bishop Snack Ambassador, for organizing and
coordinating Bishop’s snack drive.

The holidays are here, and it’s the perfect time to make sure you’re signed up for

Bishop PTO has received over $1700 in charitable donations through AmazonSmile.

credentials. Choose "John A. Bishop PTO" to receive donations. To join AmazonSmile from
the mobile app, open the app and find "Settings" in the main menu. Tap on "AmazonSmile"

This is an easy way to support Bishop. Also, anyone can add Bishop as a charity for

PTO Community Meeting

Wednesday, January 12th, 7:00 pm via Zoom
Please join the PTO for its first meeting of 2022 on Wednesday, January 12th at 7pm. All are
welcome! These meetings are a great way to stay up to date and voice your ideas, concerns,
or feedback. Look for more information after the holiday recess..

Shop at Wilson Farm Day

Wednesday, January 12th
Bishop School's “Shop at Wilson Farm” Day is Wednesday, January 12th. You can shop
anytime between 9am - 7pm, and 20% of your pre-tax purchase amount will automatically
go to the Bishop PTO. Simply show this flier at checkout!

Almost anything in the store counts towards Shop at Wilson Farm Day: produce, grocery
items, baked goods, prepared foods, items from the Garden Shop, meats, seafood and
much more. Excluded items include CSA shares, gift cards, case orders and/or other bulk or
custom orders. Happy shopping!

Varallo Orthodontics Partners in Education Program

At Varallo Orthodontics, we love giving back to our community in any way we can! Varallo
Orthodontics has started the Partners in Education Program, or P.I.E. For every patient in
grades K-8 who starts orthodontic treatment with us, we will donate $25 to the patient’s
