TESTING SHELL PROCEDURE MW 13 14 1s 17 TE 21 2.6 25 Install the body test Flange. Test Flange shall be equipped with the proper API Ring Joint Gasket for which the preventer connection is designed. Pressure rating of the Test Flange shall not be less than that of the preventer connection. Install the Head Test Flange. Requirement for the Test Flange in Paragraph 1 apply Fill the Wellbore with test fluid. Plug all Well Pressure vent holes after all air is expelled. Test in accordance with following schedule. With Opening Pressure vented and Close Pressure isolated. Pressurize Wellbore to the Test Pressure 3,000 Psi: Isolate and hold pressure for five(S) minutes after stabilization. No visible leakage is permitted during the five (5) minute hold. The pressure shall not drop below the minimum test pressure. ‘After the five (5) minute hold, reduce Wellbore Pressure to zero (0) and repressurize Wellbore Pressure to 3,000 Psi. Isolate and hold pressure for fifteen (15) minutes after stabilization. No Visible leakage is permitted during the fifteen (15) minute hold. “The pressure shall not drop below the minimum test pressure and visually inspect the external surface of the preventer for indication of sweating, leaking, or surface cracks. Mark the indications. After the fifteen (15) minute hold, reduce Wellbore Pressure to 0 STING HYDRAULIC FUNCTION PROSEDURE, Disassemble Packing Unit ‘Assemble shell member on standard test stump and black-offall conduit ends with blinds test flanges or blind threaded test plugs Dry the exterior of body using compressed air so that pin hole/ porosity leakage may be easily detected Pressurize the open and the close position of the BOP operator system, beginning at zero, Increase the pressure step by step to 1500 Psi manufacturer recommended pressure. Isolate (block) the pump from the BOP observe the exterior of the BOP for leakage for five (5) Minutes After the five (5) minutes hold, reduce hydraulic pressure to zero (0) and again increase the hydraulic pressure to 1500 Psi. Isolate (block) the pump from the BOP and hold the pressure for fifteen (15) minutes. Ifan unacceptable pressure loss occurs (Leakage Found), do the following: a, Stop the test b. Vent pressure from the BOP ©. Make the necessary repair. Isolate ( block ) test pump from annular and allow pressure to stabilize at 250 - 300. Hold pressure for 10 minutes. Observe for dramatic pressure loss and for leakage, use a mirror suspended over the bore of the BOP packing and test the pipe This low pressure test is satisfactory iftno possible leak occur Record Hydraulic pressure which holds wellbore pressure at 300 Psi Increase wellbore pressure to BOP rated working pressure 2000 Psi. Isolate test pump from annular BOP and allow pressure to stabilize. Hold pressure for 10 minutes. Observe for dramatic pressure loss and for leakage The high pressure test is satisfactory if the well pressure does not drop more than 10 % from work pressure in the 10 minutes and no visible leaks occur. Record Hydraulic pressure which holds wellbore pressure at 2000 Psi Ifan unacceptable pressure loss oceurs, do the following = a. Stop the test b. Vent pressure from the BOP c. Make the necessary repair. If repair require disassembly of the BOP, perform the operating chamber test again beginning with the step 3.1 3.10 Vent well bore pressure to zero.
